I'm looking for something I can just buy for depression since I can't go to a doctor because I'm not 18 and my parents won't take me seriously.

  1. oh.

    yes you can buy them.

(((dont take more than the bottle says, it'llonly make you tired))

and  maybe talk to school counselor, if parents wont listen?

    and try natural remedies

    a daily walk

    laughter

    friends

    hobbies

being on top of things, and interested in something

    GIVE  love, get love

keep your life regular at all costs (dont let things pile up)

    dont stay in bed

and HELP OTHERS to get away from thinking about feeling depressed

(that's a big one!) It REALLY REALL Y can work.

Be nice to yourself. Treat you in same kind way you would a stranger who was having trouble. Coach yourself with positive thoughts, and get up and do something!

Depressions can be temporary, but they pick up momentum if you let them, so heed my advice.

  2. St johns wort is a scam. It does nothing!

most of the pills are made with a sugar or salt.

  3. The question about the pills is that they are not controlled and I know of no reason why they wouldn't sell them to you.  But I also strongly urge you to seek help and not just to try and treat yourself on your own.  That is the far more important part of your question.

If your parents don't take you seriously when you say you are depressed, talk to someone else--a trusted adult, like a teacher or a school counselor, a church leader if you are involved with one, or another relative.  Or simply call your pediatrician's office and ask to talk to your doctor--they will listen to you and it may help with your parents.  It is not true that you cannot see a doctor without your parents' permission.  There are many different places that you can begin to get help on your own.

I wish you all the best.  Please take care of yourself.

  4. Yes you can buy them but get advice from the assistant first.

  5. Apparently the problem is not one of being able to see a physician, but of your parents being blind to your needs.

You need to find a way to get your parents to take you seriously, and I'm not saying to cut yourself or something dramatic like that.  You should seek out a counselor in or out of school.  There are organizations out there that can help those whose cannot count on their families.  In any event, you can still tell a physician that your parents are not taking you seriously.  A real doctor will take you seriously, and after all, some doctors will help you and just bill your parents anyway.  You have a problem you want to fix, and you need to take the initiative before your parents cause you any more harm.
