  1. I believe so....might be 20 years yet.

  2. probably ... because life on mars would be a huge discovery and if human life can be sustained on mars then all the people from nasa would get over happy and stuff

  3. It really depends on the public's view of such and endeavor. Would they see it as another giant leap for mankind or will they see it as their tax dollars wasted?

50 years is long time. Lets see... the space shuttle was in service for around 25 years. If the new fleet of orion ships last that long and the next follows suit than we would be on the 5th generation of NASA craft in my book. Thats a lot of ships and it seems NASA designs each generation for a specific purpose... sooner or later that purpose is going to be Mars *fingers crossed*.

And if they carry out the moon base plans unimpeded than I think a Mars mission should be just around the corner since the whole reason for building a moon base is to test out manned exploration and provide manned craft heading farther than the moon with cheap hydrogen fuel.

  4. i hope not... that money needs to be spent on something more worthwhile

  5. Yes, NASA is planning to send a manned module to Mars in 2037. I am very excited to see who will be on the mission..... :)

  6. They're planning to.

  7. Yes then hopefully they can do something about those pesky tripods and all that red weed they insist on squirting everywhere - hopefully they will contract influenza - I can hear their futile cries now!: Ulla Ulla!

Fingers crossed - here's hoping eh?!

  8. Hi Matthew B,

Of course we will see many  changes by then just in the cards so to speak. And NASA getting the funding.  We walked on moon didn't we. Have a good day. :0)

Additional Details: hoping we all have mini jets to cruise in sooner than later. Meet the Jetsons.

  9. I think it will happen in 50 years time, even sooner if technology advances fast enough to allow it.

  10. who cares

  11. If by "they" you mean Pink Floyd's flying pig, then I hope so.

Seriously it would be a shame to let the resources of the fourth rock from the sun go untapped. Humanity depends on the sacrifice of previous generations to get stuff done.

  12. There is a fair probability that a manned mission on mars would exist in 50 years.
