Will they still hire me?

im goin to have an interview at a grocery store.. the only experince i had was being a surver peron at my moms catering compony .. this has nothing to do with a grocery store.. so if i do good on an interview do you think they will still hire me??

You don't have to be a good speller to work in a supermarket.

That sort of job is usually an entry level position. They will train you. They are looking for someone who is honest, a reliable worker, someone who can handle money, and offers customers good,polite service.  At least you have some food experience. I worked with young people who were not aware if some items needed to be refrigerated. I had to tell them to think about what Mom would keep in the fridge, the store also has to do that. Learn to bag like things together, like bread and eggs, both very smooshable. Cleaning products seperate from food products. Lightweight bags for little old ladies. Drippy meat in an extra plastic bag, etc. Common sense is all you really need.

As far as the interview, they might orientate a group together, but the interview should include some one on one time talking to you.
