I know US dollars are excepted, but I have some Euros left from traveling. Would taxi drivers take them? What about the hotel? Bartenders?

  1. They don't take Euros, but you are right they do take American dollars. They actually prefer it in some areas because of the exchange rate. However I would not use your credit card, either use an ATM and take out Pesos or exchange some money into US$ before you go. I had issues with my card and ended up being charged twice for some things. I had a total of $120 charged extra and my bank said that they couldn't help because they stated my card was present, which wasn't possible for some purchases because I was already in the US when the charges occurred. So good luck, have fun, but be careful :)
