  1. it shouldn't effect it too much but depending on what kind of pole it was (if it was knocked over) they might make you pay for the pole!!!

    I guess if you inform them, then your rates will go up.

If the insurance company knows about it even if they didn't pay out a penny expect it to affect your rates.  A few years ago my wife (before we were married) had some minor damage to her car, she hit a speed limit sign, and unwisely called the company.  We later decided not to repair the car as I had 2 cars so we gave hers to a nephew.  Her rates still went up.

  6. If your policy paid out, it can affect your rates, depending on how much it paid out.

    If it didn't pay out, it won't affect the rate.
