Will this affect my teeth? help .?

i had braces around 4 years ago. after that i wore clear retainers for around a year 24/7, then i wore them for 2 years at night only. i lost them a while ago, and even though im pretty sure i got the ok to not wear them as often (i started wearing them once every two weeks just to be safe) will not wearing them ever make my teeth shift? please help, 10 points best answer x

  1. I think you would be safe without the clear retainers.....our teeth shift as we get older and begin to have extractions........


  2. Yes, your teeth will shift if you never wear retainers.

    However, orthodontists know full well their patients will stop wearing retainers, and that some of the perfect alignment will be lost when that happens, slowly over a period of at least a year.
