After a period of restrictive dieting my body and mind worked together and I began to overeat compulsively as is the case for many people; I ended up going from 120 lbs. to 131.5 lbs ( im 5'3)in only two months. will this be very noticeable? (please don't answer rudely, this is a mental problem not a "too many twinkies" problem and I am trying my best to get better. I WILL REPORT any ABUSIVE ANSWERS because in my state of mind it is not what I need right now . Thank You for any kind responses.

  1. so you gained about 10 pounds in the course of 2 months?

the people that see you everyday,.. mom/dad/ etc

will only notice a slight difference

but if a person hasn't seen you after you gained weight..

they would definately notice a difference.

and if you're 5'3, healthy weight is around 115lb to 120lbs

    but dont worry too much

    you're not fat.

  2. 10 pounds will hardly be noticeable. It isn't until 20 pounds that it is noticeable only to people who haven't seen you in awhile, and 30 pounds before people who see you often might notice.

  3. It shouldn't be noticeable unless you wear super tight clothing

  4. Well, I'm 5'0 and when I gain 5lbs it's noticeable and people comment.  At 5'3 you have a little more "room," but not much.  It's rough, being short.  It seems like people notice everything.

Be strong.  It's hard not to pay attention to hateful people, but you know where restriction can lead.  Your body will balance out, especially now that you're aware of it.  Try not to obsess too much.

Just remember that it will be as noticeable when you are back to the weight at which you feel comfortable!
