Will this battery charger charge a 9.6v battery for my traxxas rustler?

I want to buy better batteries and was between 8.4v and 9.6 i have a charger i know workd for 8.4 but i would prefer to go 9.6v for extra performance depending on if the charger can charge these batteries.

Also if you know in a traxxas rustler vxl with a 9.6v battery what speeds can i reach?

That charger is good for charging up to 7 cells, which is 8.4v.

this one can charge up to 8 cells, 9.6v. i've used this charger, and i think it would definitely be worth what you pay for it. plus, it leaves the option open to upgrade to Li-po batteries.

i am not sure about the performance gains in a vxl though...
