Will this be easy to dispute?

So my boyfriend and I moved in together last August. The apartment complex isn't the best, to put it midly. The first month of rent, we put in the drop box, and 2 weeks later, we recieved a note posted to our door saying that we were late, that it was our second notice, and in 72 hours, or something like that, they were going to file eviction. It turns out that someone stole from the drop box, and we had to cancel our money orders and give them new ones, no big deal right? Well, now our lease runs out, and we were going to move into a better place, turns out, that they did file for eviction, and it shows that it isn't satisfied, and that we went to court. Of course we were never served papers, so we had no knowledge of this, we weren't aware of a court date, nor did we go to court, and considering we are still residents, it was satisfied. But we can't rent another place, because it shows up on our credit. How easy will it be to get this removed all together?

  1. You may have to get a lawyer to deal with this if the manager doesn't get it removed.
