Question:

Will this be okay for groomsman gifts?

I wanted to get them personalized beer mugs but unfortunately we are running out of time & money for that kind of thing. I have the mugs, will it be okay to just print their names out on a nice card stock paper and tie with ribbon that to the handle? I wanted to put something inside it but I'm not sure what to put in there. Candy? Most guys don't really like candy (from the guys I know anyway). What else would go in there? I don't want it to be super tacky, but I'm worried it will be without spending a fortune on something to put in there. Guys, what do you like that would fit in a beer mug (yeah, I know...beer but there'll be 3 kegs for that so I'm not going to buy more beer). Anyone have any ideas?!

  1. put gift certificates in the mugs for a local brewmaster/restaurant and then you can all get together after the honeymoon for a night out on the town together.

  2. I would just put those small shots of liqueur, the single shots, inside each one so they have a shot when they fill up with beer.  That would make me happy! :)

  3. Money clips. Flasks. Cufflinks. Have them engraved. Maybe gift certificates. If they collect anything maybe that's a good idea.

  4. At places like Hobby Lobby, you can get etching really cheap and it is easy to do yourself...you could personalize them to each guy with their initial, the date of your wedding or something!  Then just add a little ribbon and a card that says Thank you!

  5. will a bottle of beer fit?  then make label's on your computer with their names and put it over the beer label

  6. cigars

    chocolate

    lighters

    razors

    tie

    boxers/beer logos

    gift cards

  7. I like the idea of a gift certificate when I read that answer. I was going to say a couple of cigars; or maybe mini bottles of liquor.

  8. i think the beer mugs itself are fine, you don't have to fill it with anything. it would be nice to have their names engraved on it though..

  9. You could create little groomsmens kits to use on the wedding day.  Tic tacs, shoe polish and cloth, small bottle of axe body spray, comb, chapstick, etc.

  10. A deck of cards
