Will this be the straw that will break the camels back of the US economy?

With fuel prices at an all time UNWARRANTED high and the Realty meltdown. Do you think the floods of the midwest which will undoubtedly drive food prices higher to possible record highs be the straw that will break the camels back of the US economy? Ethanol will obviously not be as cheap as it was and wouldn't suprise me if it goes higher that gas prices.

Lets try to keep this civil and not act like children when answering.

  1. well.....another straw perhaps ,but maybe not the final straw!Things can always get worse. Keep in mind only in "our" time would Kroger getting flooded be the end of  food supplies to the worldin some peoples minds etc. We tend to collapse waaay sooner than our ancestors I'm afriad.

  2. I don't know about it being the final straw that will break the American economy but I do think it will get even more people to admit that the economy is in bad shape and actions need to be taking to get things back on track.
