  1. If the phone is still connected then it will use up juice if its not then it will use up less but sill increase elec. bill by few cents

  2. It still wastes energy, but it isn't very much.  It shouldn't hurt anything.

  3. That is perfectly fine it won't hurt a bit and it won't sap energy.

    Hope this helps!  : )

  4. it still uses energy

    i would unplug it

    but thats me

  5. if you leave the charge plugged in it will use about 20 watts of power. this is not a huge amount, however it is a complete waste of energy and money.

The reason is because your charger is a transformer. All transformers have what;s known as a minimum load. meaning if you put 240volts in then it has to take a certain amount of current out of the other side or it'll blow up. this is simply expelled in the form of heat. you'll notice that your charger is warm when you leave it plugged in.

This also applies to any other electrical appliance that operates on a transformer so leaving stuff like your modem/speakers/printer plugged in wastes energy in the same way. My policy is to switch everything off at the socket on the wall when it's not in use
