Question:

Will this clash for horse back riding?

im starting horse riding today and its like my second time but i had to get knew boots, its english riding but i got cowboy boots couse i have a wide foot and no other fit me. will they clash? like the english helmet and western boots. i know its not about fashion. i just like to look good

p.s. the boots are brown, the helmet will be black

  1. it doesnt matter at all i ride english and stadium jump and i wear western boots


  2. You may get a few looks, but if you're comfortable with it who cares?

    The most important thing is safety, and western boots will be safe to ride in.

    My only concern would be the height.  English boots protect the inside of the lower leg from being rubbed and pinch by the stirrup leather against the saddle flap, which can be quite painful.  Western saddles use the stirrup fender for that, not the boot, so the boot is lower and you may get pinched.

    If you do have a problem, you can get some half chaps, which are very stylish for English riders.  These CAN cost almost as much as the boots, but you can get an exercise pair for much less.

  3. as long as you are only taking lessons and not showing professionally it will not matter.

    boots are boots, no matter what, and they are the same, other than the look.
