Will this damage my LCD monitor?

I constantly turn it off and on like every 10 minutes or so, because i don't want to waste energy but can this damage my monitor.

    Edit: it's good that you're trying to save energy, but turning it off so much is costing you energy. If you know you're going to be back on your computer in 10 minutes it's best to leave your monitor on.
