Will this dvd player work with a standard tube television?

Here's what's going on...right now I have a standard tube television and within a few months I'll be upgrading to an HDTV...will this dvd player be compatible with my tube television in the meanwhile?

All region 1 (coded for North America) DVD players (and high definition DVD/Bluray players) will work with your standard-definition television. they just won't be in high definition because of your TV, but you will still be able to see all of the movies you watch.

Yes, even the latest DVD players will accommodate old TVs, only some new features such as HDTV will not be utilized.
