Will this fix my problem with my Camaro (Transmission related, and suspsension?

I recently had a 200 trans in my 1977 Camaro with a 350. I got the motor to idle great and it sounds amazing but when I went to drive it first gear was a little balls less but then 2nd and 3rd it would just BOG its way up. But then at random times the *** end of my car would jerk violently and scare the h**l out of me. I am putting in a TH-350 right now, but could my problem lie somewhere else?

Also for extra credit the rear end sags. Do I need new leafs, bushings, or something else?

  1. seems like you know what your doin ..why ask simple questions like these..you know what to do

  2. Springs cause sag. Change bushings as well. Trans is not the problem. Good luck.

  3. The TH200 is a bit gutless (small internal parts) or light duty for a 350ci engine ,  it may need an overhaul . myself I would install a lockup TH350 to keep the lockup converter for fuel milage or nonlock-up for mild performance .

While the drive shaft is loose turn the wheels and pinion input and note how smooth or ruff it is.

Does it have the mono leaf springs or spring pack ?

The car is 30 years old and I'm sure the springs have saged and could use a new set front and rear. that will help the handling and ride drasticly . or you could get a set of add-a-leaf and help some for awhile for about half the price and the same work.
