  1. Yes, it will.....but it's a BAD idea.

Your bike is an entry level cross-country machine.....it's made for less travel and has lighter parts (and frame) that aren't up to what a 6" fork is needed for.

There are two concerns.  One is the handling of the bike, and one is safety.

If you put a 6" fork on a bike made for a 4" fork, you're going to slacken the steering and it'll probably feel like c**p.....it will feel sluggish and you'll notice a strong "breakover" point when you turn the wheel far to one side.  You can get used to this, but you might just hate it.   It's also going to shift your weight rearward, which will make cornering a little sketchy and might cause you to wash out your front wheel and eat dirt.

The safety issue is that your frame is NOT made for the angles and stress distribution of a long-travel fork.  What this means is that there's a really *really* good chance that your head tube might snap off of the frame.   If that happens, you better hope that you're going slow on a smooth, level trail.

Don't do it....look for a fork that has from 80mm-130mm of travel, or buy a new bike/frame that is equipped with and designed for the travel you need.  Stay safe.    :o)
