Will this graphics card work?

i have a 7300gs its pci-e and 64bit new one is 9600gt its pci-e and 256bit does bit matter? will it run at all?

  1. Yes, it matters alot. The second one is the one you are looking for. It will give you much more performance than that 64bit. It will run if you have the pci-e slot. And you will need to supply the card with the energy required to run.


  2. If I'm understanding you correctly, you currently have a 7300GS video card plugged into a PCI-Express 16x slot on your computer.  You want to plug in a 9600GT PCI-Express card instead.  That will work, assuming your power supply can handle the new video card.

  3. i have a 9600gt running on a 350watt PSU with 26a on the 12+ rail and it runs smooth with no problems, however i think a 450w PSU is recommended.

  4. It will, but you need to make sure yuor power supply is powerful enough for the card.
