It probably will increase auto related deaths.. but with gas prices the way they are, people are going to start driving smaller and smaller cars like you'd find in Europe.

I live in Amarillo and there are a couple of them here and they have to be plated and can not be driven on anything but city streets. Also they have a slow moving vehical orange diamond on the back. And there is a model offered that  looks like a pickup. No Zap cars here yet. My friend has one of their scooters and has gotten no intrest in it.

Yes, I agree with you, it would be a death trap, like a squished insect.  Safety to me comes first.  I'd gladly pay to be safe.

This makes sense - in a gated neighborhood with no other traffic, but on city streets, no way.

I've seen it--not practical--car needs to be made like a real, heavy duty car
