it is got 512 mb memory

and 80 gb hard drive

i want to store 25 two page documents, 20 songs, 50 photos and 2 big games like gta or max payne.

and is got no cd thingy so i cant put cd in.

will it allow me to download games from the internet and it is linux

Hi i'd be dubious about any computer now thats not dual core, if you've never used linux before and you cant get on with it, as it's not everyones cup of tea, you wont even have the choice to install XP or Vista, you will of course be able to download stuff from the web, and purchase an external USB CD/DVD drive. it will perform the doc, music and photos no problem, but forget about running large games though. more below

Not gta 4. but max payne yes and other gta games. You'll be able to download from a torrent site like torrent-finder.com if you know how.

I think it's good enough for you, but I think that you could get a better laptop for that price.
