Will this leather chair loosen up?

I just bought a leather office chair today and it is so stiff and uncomfortable. do you think it will get more comfy? I'm considering taking it back to the store. It looked like it would be comfortable until I got it home and sat in it. I paid alot of money, you would think it would be better than this.

  1. Get the leather softener stuff and glom it on to soak in and relax the leather. Find the kind to treat the thick leather found on boots and heavy clothing accessories - not the supple leather like a jacket or suede. Think of a saddle - how heavy and thick the leather is, and how it is treated.  Check out the leather treatment sites below, and search more on Google:  leather softener

  2. Use Dr. Glove softener on it (you know - the stuff you soften up the baseball gloves with). If it does not soften, you may need to take it back. If you do, sit in the floor models at the store to find the comfiest chair.

  3. where did you buy it and what manufacture.  Everything loosens up with time.  Foam compresses in the seat up to 20% after 6 months.  Remember leather shoes loosen up as you use them so does clothes.   There is nothing that gets stiffer with time as long as it is taken care of.

  4. I told you to take the blue beulah chair. lol.  nothing beats it, it's been in the family for about 26 years.  I'm sure it's very loosened up, and it's free.   :)

  5. it should not loosen, take it back
