No. Only certain Canon camcorders. Look at the mounting plate bottom. At the front there are electrical contacts. The mic gets power from the camcorder. Go to Canon.com and search for the mic - when you find it, there will be a link of "compatible products. The whole Canon line is not represented.

and scroll down. No cable, either so it won't work with a 1/8" jack.

It will not fit the Sony proprietary "active interface" shoe and that shoe set the electrical contacts differently.

It won't fit anything on Panasonic, either.
