Will this snake kill me?

Question

Help! I'm a city guy with a new house that has a snake infested yard. They're small, but do I need to call the snake exterminator or is thing harmless and safely ignored?

Just Garter snakes...your good!

Catch one and send it to me...lol...by the time I find them around here, the dog has them dead!

Oh my! I am no snake expert, so I could not tell you if those are dangerous. I would call an exterminator to have a look. They would be able to say. I am sure that if you just brought the picture to them instead of them coming out to see, they would not charge you. I would look into a humane way of keeping them out of your yard though, especially if you have pets or children.

Two have already gotten this right, a ribbon snake. Its refreshing to see someone put up a pic for an ID.

It looks like a ribbon snake. They are harmless. You do not need to call an exterminator. Just let it be and everything should be fine. It is a very pretty snake though. Do not try to touch it though.

That is a very harmless ribbon snake. They eat fish and frogs.

Not unless you trip over it & break your neck falling down. That's a harmless ribbon snake, not a garter snake, but same difference. They're totally harmless.

DONT GO NEAR IT!!!! it has 4 foot fangs and the most potent poisons EVER!!! if it bites you the poisons shrink yo u down to the size of a mouse pinky and it swallows you whole . . . you're fine there harmless i have like a million garter snakes (thats what it is) :)
