  1. this is what you should have to give a chameleon a good and comfortable life:

    1) definitely a larger wire cage. male veiled chameleons grow to be 18-24 inches and females 10-13 inches. The cage your talking about isn't even close to being large enough for a full grown chameleon.

    2) chameleons love lizard waterfalls, you can find them in petsmart or petco.

    3) a temperature and relative humidity gauge

    4) a small tree, a benjamin ficus is great. they spend their lives high in trees, so something tall with good leaf coverage is great for them.  Make sure you don't buy any plants that are toxic to reptiles.  The animal planet and ASPCA websites have a good list of toxic and nontoxic plants for reptiles.

    5) cage carpet

instead of me listing everything, this website is great and goes over everything regarding keeping veiled chameleons. Good luck.

  2. When I had veiled chameleons, I kept my adults housed individually in cages that were 2 feet by 2 feet by 4 feet high. And UVB bulbs need to be replaced every six months. And don't forget the calcium powder to dust the crickets.
