In "Family and relationships " section of yahoo answers regarding infidelity and unfaithfulness, some people ( both men and women ) without any shame clearly admit they have a "office spouse" or " they are in love with their neighbour/ friend's spouse" eventhough they are married.

Isn't this rubbish and filthy ?

These people tell their shameful acts in a way as if they have done a sacred thing ! There is no doubt that this section really embaresses the users who are new to yahoo.

I hope one day ,this section will really make yahoo as a p**n site !

Even in west, extra-marital affairs are considered as sin.But why is it so in a country like India which is known for its family values, infidelity is being promoted as being MODERN or being PRACTICAL !

What do you say ? Should "Family and relationships" section be removed for the sake of maintaining good ethics ?

  1. I personally don't agree with people stepping outside their vows, but that is their business. I don't mind giving an honest opinion on a question that might involve that activity, and if you do, perhaps you should just ignore them. That's the powerful thing about the internet. There's a little 'x' on the window for when you don't like what you're seeing. There's also a 'back' button.

I don't think we need to censor that kind of thing. It's everywhere. I believe that people will make a decision either way. Whether they see influence in the media or not.

  2. Absolutely not!  I don't want close minded questions banned.  Plus the fact that they are asking questions shows me that some of these people know what they are doing is wrong.  Maybe hearing one sentence of someones answer may be just what they needed to do the right thing.  So don't be so judgmental and uprighteous.  It really is very un christian like!

  3. Being realistic won't necessarily destroy our youth, and showing interesting statistics will only make those who are already guilty of the statistic feel a little better about it. I'm not sure where you get infidelity as being promoted as "practical," because nobody will tell you that it's a "good decision" or something "smart to do" and I'm sure Yahoo! has not listed it quite that way on their site. And while perhaps youth could be affected by statistics like those on unfaithfulness in a negative way, if they're old enough to understand the statistics or what they mean, or even be reading these things, then not only should their parents have been talking to them about these kinds of aspects of life but they probably won't take them in such a way that they might start to consider infidelity as O.K...

If you think a certain article or part of the section "Family and relationships" should be removed due to detrimental or offensive reasons, it's more reasonable to issue that request posted with those reasons rather than ask that an entire section be removed and bombast it by saying it might turn into p**n.
