Washington trades SG Deshawn Stevenson for Toronto SG Anthony Parker

The pros of DC getting Parker will be getting a proven starting SG who provides solid play on both sides of the court and will be deadly from three and can take the load off of the big three and will play hard since it's his contract year. He is old however at 33 but it's a one year risk at worst, and Nick Young can be his successor as the starter at the 2. Stevenson can replace Parker well in Toronto and will be able to take some of the load off of Bosh and O'Neal. Given that Delfino's now in Europe, Stevenson will be the clear starting SG here for a long time, and Kapono would be his backup.

  1. I like the deal for the Raptors, because they're set along for strong talent because they have the best front court in NBA history.

But for the Wizards, Anthony Parker isn't as strong as Stevenson and quick on the floor.

To tell you the truth, it's quite rare for any NBA trade to just go with 2 players.
