Will this wall mount work for my lcd?

it says:Will fit most large flat panel plasma and LCD TVs with mounting patterns up to VESA 750x450

the tv im getting says it is VESA compliant(samsung 40")

Yes its right for upto 60" screens, and it states "plasma" and that is usually alot heavier than LCD screens by three or four times.  It has to be mounted well into the heart of the stud.

Mount it right and you should be safe.
