ok, ive bought a wireless router for my PC to hook up my laptop but realised my modem isn't compatible and although my connection is 8mbps it is still dial-up

so please look at the link and let me know whether buying this to mach my Orange speed touch internet will it send wireless internet to my laptop??

My laptop has wirelss built in. so will this USB gadget send my internet round my house? i have lilttle knowledge with computers so please explain answers

  1. the USB adapter is for receiving wifi from a router which is what you need  the router I mean




  2. If your pc has wireless built in then you don't need that , all that is is a wirless usb adaptor, what speedtouch router are you using ? it should connect to any laptop , or maybe your using a speedtouch 330 ? in that case you only connect 1 computer to it  

  3. I use a wireless internet card on my home computer now and it is a very secure network. I do know I use to use a z-link wireless router  with land line DSL but it was always dial up speeds on both computers and other surrounding my area could get access to the wireless network if they had a code to get in. Unless you get a encryption code to block your access you will still have slow speeds. The device frome the link will allow other wireless computers to receive access to your connection.  

  4. Dude the wireless Internet with a mobile company sucks... the best stable Internet you will get is with a fixed phone line... Take it or leave it but i speak from experience
