Will toasted bread still taste good for school lunch?(answer quick!)?

School starts at 9:00 am,school lunch starts at 12:00 pm,just so you know.

  1. Yes, as long as you don't mind it being cold, of course it will be dry and hard but if you like that (I do) no prob.

    You may want to keep any condiments off the bread until just before serving as they will tend to soak in

    Also, I would lightly toast the bread.


  2. It will probably get really dry and hard.

  3. It will probably go soggy.  Store it separately from the filling and add the filling at lunch time to ensure the bread does not get soggy or stale.  

  4. If you want to toast it for a packed lunch you MUST toast it just to a lite toast. The color must be just starting to toast.

    If you toast it as you normally would (medium to dark) it will turn into a crouton before it is eaten.

    wrap tightly in saran wrap to keep air out. Make the sandwich with the cheese or meat to the bread side and any condiments in the middle away from the bread. OR pack them separately.
