I know it is very stuborn of me, but we are military and I dont know any one and my husband is never home, so I have been moving BIG furnitaure like entertainment centers and lifting tv's. I am 30 weeks right now, and it doesnt hurt at all when I am doing the lifting or moving, but I am scared that I might be affecting my baby. I have promised my self that after today I am no longer going to move an big objects, but can some one give me some piece of mind in knowing that I have not harmed my baby at all? She is kicking and moves as much as she is supposed to, but is there any chance I messed with her growth in any way? It never crossed my mind before because I was never uncomfortable moving and lifting since I move and lift heavy stuff every day of my life. But for some reason today I got scared and I guess I just need to hear that she is ok.

  1. My dr told me that any exercise you were used to pre-pregnancy you can continue as long as it's not high impact contact sports or something like skiing where you could fall. If you're used to it and haven't pulled any muscles I'd say you're fine, but call your dr. to be sure.

That's cool you're military! My hubby did 20 years in the Navy :)

  2. Hi and congrats! Doctors say that you really should only lift 25 pounds max. It sounds like she is fine so far, but you really should stop moving such heavy things and not very often. I actually had to move a heavy door off of a friend and I felt like I ripped everything in my stomach, but went to the doctor and he said I was ok. You never know when something could go wrong. Good luck!

  3. she seems to be ok for now if your getting regular movements, but why on earth are you lifting heavy things, you should be taking it easy, lifting heavy things is wrong and im not going to go into detail as im working and have no time but someone else on here can tell you, best of luck with your babyxx

  4. Im sure everything is fine but I would take it easy.

  5. If you feel ok and the baby is still moving around like normal I'm sure she's fine, but I would stop lifting and moving heavy objects just to be safe.
