Will trees keep me from getting a good signal with my direct tv?

  2. Yes, if they are between your dish and the satellite. It's a narrow space, so even with trees as long as there's a view of the right spot it will work.

  4. it depends. The installer should look for the point on the house that has the best view of the southern sky. If the installation is done in the winter (or early spring) then they need to make sure that the dish isn't mounted somewhere that leaves will block the signal.

    Sometimes there are ways to give the dish a little extra height to get over trees. I've seen a lot of homes here that have trees but still get their DirecTV service just fine.

    In the end, it really does come down to the installer you have: the really good ones can oftentimes work magic and put your dish in a really awesome spot that offers no interference whatsoever, even during heavy rainstorms. Some will look at the trees and say "Nope, not possible".

  5. If there blocking the direction the satillite is pointing yes. I have direct tv and hate it. when it rains heavy the tv goes out, sometimes when its really winding or bad temprature the picture is slow.
