1/4"L x 14 1/2"D x 32"H I believe these are the measurements I found the same cage on a website. Here is a picture It is known as the "Prevue Casbah Cage."

I have a tiel and am considering getting it a new buddy for its cage for when school starts again so its not lonely.

  1. whats a tiel? ive never heard of such a bird before. the cage is a little small for a cockatiel if that is what you mean

  2. yes they will fit but will they be comfortable or happy NO. DONT PUT THEM IN THAT CAGE, HOW WOULD YOU FEEL IF YOU WERE LOCKED IN A TINY BATHROOM.

GET A BIGGER CAGE AND IF YOU CANT AFFORD ONE THEN DONT BOTHER GETTING ANOTHER TIEL.

I JUST HOPE THAT ISNT THE CAGE YOUR TIEL LIVES IN...

BY THE WAY MY  TINY PARROTLET WHO IS 4INCHES LONG(SO MUCH SMALLER THAN A TIEL) LIVES IN A COCKATIEL CAGE WITH THE MEASUREMENTS OF: 20X20X29

even my 2 canaries have a huge cage much bigger than that

  3. NO absolutely NOT do you know how big a cockatiel is? its a medium sized bird. and that cage is probably best for a zebra finch.( NOTE: sorry if i sound a little rude)

  4. no absolutely not

  5. The recommended cage size for a sinle tiel is 20 x 20 x 30, and should be doubled for 2.

If your tiels spend several hours a day out of the cage getting plenty of time to stretch their wings slightly smaller (18 x 18 x 27 for a single bird) is acceptable.

2 tiels sharing a cage are going to bicker, just as 2 siblings do when sharing a room. Problem is of course that tiels have claws and beaks and will use them to defend their home.

Even tiels who are the best of buds 99% of the time will have an occasional fight, and when they don't have the space to get away from each other injuries are often the result.

Fighting aside, if kept in a small cage the risk of broken blood feathers is also a big concern.

You really do need a bigger cage than the one mentioned, but if it's not in your budget at the moment, hold off on getting your tiel a buddy until you can give them the space they need.
