  1. They might, you need to look and see if they operate on the same frequency! Should be in the instructions, on the back or on the website for them or somewhere like that.

    Even if they are the same frequency, it's no guarantee that they'll work, but they often do.


  2. Yes two way radios can work even they are different brand (Motorola, Kenwood, Yaesu, Icom, Maxon, etc). Radios need to have same frequency banding (VHF or UHF). Then they need to be programmed for same frequencies and tones (CTCSS or DCS).

    Licence free radios (PMR446) are all working on same 8 fixed frequencies, but different manufacturers put them in different order. Also CTCSS/DCS tones are different (They are usually changeable by option keys). For channels and tones settings look into radio’s user manuals.

  3. brand is not important, what is important is frequency and CTCSS settings.

    DO NOT USE PMR446 RADIOS IN THE USA, THEY ARE ILLEGAL HERE. 446MHZ IS USED BY ANOTHER SERVICE.
