  1. Universities nowadays accept anything labelled as  ''easy'' and ''straightforward''. Many people consider a BTEC simply because it is simple and straightforward or in other cases it will lead you to a more fixed career. This interests Universities as they will know the person with this qualification knows what their aim is as they chose a fixed path which could also lead to better jobs. Stronger universities will seek people with plain A levels without no attached course ie.BTEC,Diploma, as they prefer this choice to fit their strong category. Other universities, from the neither weak nor strong side will seek a student with a direct idea of course which may help them lead to a more improved career. Overall different universities require different things however some may only want students with bigger backgrounds whom could have had conjoined links, better grades, and more experience.

  2. a BTEC qualification is essentially a vocational qualification at NVQ level 3 maximum. it is the equivalent to 2 a-levels, grades a-c. nowadays, universities accept students, who not also take traditional qualifications such as a-levels but vocational qualifications such as BTECs, NVQs, access courses.

this is good because they -the universities- realise that not every student had the chance to do a-levels but rather a vocational course, which offers the same amount of theory and practical work, alongside key skills such as literacy, numeracy, IT and communication as a-level courses.

it is said that BTECs for example do not receive the same status and respect as a-levels and so because of this there is a lot of stigma and ignorance attached towards vocational qualifications. however, there are many students who went onto university, having completed a vocational course. myself included but it has a lot of benefits that people do not seem to realise themselves.

and so the answer is yes, universities will accept BTEC level 3 qualifications, just as long as you do well and pass the course by the end of it

  3. A BTEC Level 3 qualification is equivalent to A-Levels so any university will accept you. Depending on what you want to study and the course you are studying at level three however will have a part to play. If the subject you are studying at level three is what you want to study at university, you will have a better chance of entering uni.

  4. Btec level 3 is good, its the equiv to like..mm I forgot

havn't worked it out for some time, but you should get accepted.
