I recently purchased a Motorola Q9h/Q Global from AT&T. It came with Windows Mobile 6.0, and I was just wondering will upgrading to 6.1 erase the stuff that came pre-installed on the phone, like Documents to Go and other various programs?

  1. The newly released WM 6.1 update is a totally new ROM flash which will delete storage and delete all user data. You should be using ActiveSync to sync your contacts/Calendar/notes,..etc with Outlook and that will preserve those data but you will need to reinstall any additional programs you might have installed. The device will be in brand new "out of the box" configuration after the flash.

    Hope that helps.
