Will walking on a treadmill, on high incline, with high resistance help build my legs?

I have a broken patella and i cant do squats or leg presses.

SO, will walking on a treadmill on high incline with high resistance help build my legs? I know it will shape my rear but what about my legs?

  1. It should because you are using more of body weight and muscle power will work out those muscles in the legs. Like the previous user said, you do have to be careful setting the incline too high or hard because then you will strain or snap your back/back muscles to compensate for the incline and mess up your body posture or cause serious back injury

    How did you break you patella?

    I was going to say leg squats and dead lifts. Dead lifts don really require you to bend your knees all of the way. I say use light weight since you are injured. Good luck

    You can also do dead lifts to built the hamstrings and glutes

    I had many women tell me my legs are hard and toned. I have stairs I run and I do lunges and squats. Keep on doing it for like 1 month and you will see some results. And drink water. water alone can burn 300 calories a week.

  3. Not only will it build your legs, but it will also build your buns!!! And your hips! And belly too! The incline is great!

  4. Ok heres the truth. It is not recommended to use incline on ur treadmill. This is because while facing a mirror doin this exercise u normally tend to position ur body in such a way that it does not look awkward & hence positioning urself wrong which can lead to strain on ur back & backaches later. Its always better to use a flat treadmill & use the stepper for this. If u do want to do a incline try doin this naturally on a hill, where there are no mirrors & ur body positions naturally for the climb. Best of luck.
