Will walmart replace old 80 gig ps3 with new 80 gig?

Question

what im wondering is what will happen if I bought a current 80 gig bundle

and something was to go wrong with it or I want to return it(walmart) will they give me the new 80 gig model once old 80 gig becomes obselete. and what about the bundle do I have to return it as well(90 days)

Can't speak to the model change, but can to the bundle.  We bought a WII bundle and were able to return pieces of the bundle without losing the deal.

well you would most likely send it sony who would try to replace it with the same exact model you have... but i doubt anything worth sending it back will happen.

Nope if there is a problem,

Walmart Will Give You the new 80gb,

If you send it to sony, you will get your 80gb(old one)

If you buy a MGS 80GB bundle, make sure you get a 2 year extended warranty and make sure you ask if something happens that you need to replace your console, will the warranty cover getting a replacement the same as the original !

The new 80GB doesn have the bells and whistles of the MGS bundle 80GB ! I.E. no BC, only 2 usb ports no card reader etc etc !

no b.c theyre not the same. the older 80gb is more money due to coming with more features. the new 80gb will feature no backwards compatibilty and other missing features. the old 80gb should stil be on sale though
