  1. I've been in several waves at football games and no one died.

  2. Stop waving with your middle finger. If you wave using your whole hand and arm you should be ok.

    Or... pick a date randomly from the near future and write a book about it. You - yes you - could be America's next millionaire. All you have to do is build your retirement home in a secret location so nobody can find you after your prediction mysteriously goes awry.

    Or... The technique of surfboarding is relatively simple. While keeping a low center of gravity (legs bent at the knees),lightly lean your weight in the direction you choose and towards the wave face (but always keep your body centered over the midpoint of your board).This will push the rail into the water and create a keel effect, cutting into the water and directing the board in the direction you choose. Remember, wherever you direct your eyes, your board will follow, so look to the location on the wave you want to end up. Eye up a point down the line and stay focused on that point. Keep your body over the midpoint of your surfboard and lean slightly on your front foot, and you are on your way.

  3. A wave of energy from a nearby supernova, possibly.  Won't know until it happens, and not after for that matter...

    Despite the horrible tragedy a tsunami can cause, I doubt the oceans are geometrically capable of creating a single wave that could drown the entire world.  Rest easy.

  4. yes tommorrrow. start writing your will

  5. nuclear Holocaust

  6. indirectly.....by sound waves......blown from a "horn"...

    by the Angel Israfil.....

  7. If I'm still living 1 mile from the coast of Washington when the big tsunami hits, I'm pretty sure it will kill me along with about 50,000 others. A person who lives here for 50 years has about one chance in ten of being killed by the big tsunami. Several times that many people will die a few minutes before the tsunami because of the great earthquak.

  8. Yes, riptides have taken many lives, i've already lost count of how many.  As more water vapor and CO2 is added to the atmosphere, the water levels will rise and waves will take down all sea worthy boats and ships.  Surfing will be more extreme.

    Aerobic Respiration:

    C6H12O6 + oxygen --> 6 CO2 + 6 H2O + energy (ATP)

    Combustion:

    Butane C4H10 + 6.5 O2 --> 4 CO2 + 5 H2O

    - Ban cigarette smoking altogether.

    - Write to your space agency to offload excess water to the moons and Mars.

    - Switch to electric cars and electric cooking appliances.

  9. i guarantee not

  10. What kind of wave? A strong enough infrared one could vaporise everyone...
