i knew this person who got his nose chopped of and they were growing it on his arm! a jail fight messed that one up and he had to start over again!

Yes.  Salamanders can do it already as part of a natural biological process unique to their species.

Scientists will eventually unravel the mechanism for this regrowth and be able to replicate the process in humans.
