Will we ever know good times again here in the USA?

Has the accumulation of sloppy financial plays finally come home to roost, thus destroying our bright future, or is this economic downturn simply an ebb and flow of normal economic cycles?

What's your take on it, generally?

hi flate rate.  vary interest rate.  Stok market up & down but

dont go noweer.  

For a time, stuff (oil, koel, gold...) will seem like a " investment".  But in a yeer or 2, em krash & bern 2.

It's not the end of the world.  The market will rise again.  It always has and always will.  The market always overreacts to both good and bad news.  For Pete's sake, we're technically not even in a recession.

This economic downturn is simply the ebb and flow of normal economic cycles with a few curveballs thrown in.  People who aren't carrying debt are, generally, doing just fine.  People who bought homes they could afford using fixed rate mortgages are doing just fine.  People who are living on a bit less than they make are doing just fine.  People who don't speculate in stocks, bonds, or commodities are doing just fine.  It all comes down to the choices that people make and the economic chances that they take.

We are in bad times? Why hasn't someone told me? I just got a raise and bought a new bigger house, now your saying our future is not bright?

We are in good times, just as usual. Some people are prospering and some are losing everything, it's just plain economics and nothing to lose sleep over.

Two groups of people are losing out right now a)mortgage speculators and others with large stakes in the financial industry and b)those without marketable skills in a modern world that doesn't rely as much on manufacturing, but rather on brain power.
