Will we ever see Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs Miguel Cotto?

will we ever see these two great boxers boxing each other? who would win (in your opinion)?

I believe they will fight in 2009. Ok, lets get to it. One thing you have to understand about a boxer, he's not looking to knock a guy out but let the knock out come to him. If the knock out come it comes. A boxer is looking to box you and beat you with techniques.  Everyone keep saying, you beat PBF with pressure. It havent work. Hatton has more pressure than Cotto. Hatton turns his fight into a back yard brawl. People are being honest, just disagree. Its hard to fight a guy going backwards. PBF dont just use the ring, he also hit you when your not exspecting and pop shots you while your chasing him around the ring. Over a period of time, the punches take's a tole and you get tired on top of it from chasing him. Once you tire out, he sits down on his punches and make you look bad. Ali did the same thing, fight going backwards, punch you to death, hit you with quick hands, pop shots, get out the way and turns it on late. If you think Cotto is going to out box PBF, your crazy. Oscar had a hight adv, but same reach. Oscar lost because PBF out smart him. Oscar jab wouldn't have made a differenst. Cotto doesn't has the most consistent jab in boxing. PBF, Oscar has been using there jab there whole career, Cotto just started finding his jab against Mosley. Before you jump on the Cotto boxing skills, it was only Gomez, please. Just a jab doesn't make you a boxer. Its a whole host of things. If PBF would have stood toe to toe with Chico RIP, Chico would have knock his head in the nose bleed seats. He had to move and box, lets see how Cotto does against Margo.

THEY have to fight each other  ,,cotto is at the top of his game  and floyd  clames that nobody can beat him that has to be proven,,the fans want to see it ,,it will happen,,,if cotto can find floyd in the ring and stop him with his power he will win the fight  ,,,if not i dont see him winning the fight floyd is a very slick boxer  and moves great in the ring ,miguel has to cut the ring  and be able to take advantage of the opportunites ,if not floyd will kill him with his boxing

it is possible. if cotto beat margarito then their is a chance. i think after floyd beat oscar he will retire. but then comeback because he will miss the attention and money. and if he does come back he would have to face cotto becuse he is the only one who would make floyd a lot of money .

I believe they will fight in 2009 but there is no way Floyd can knock Cotto out. He doesn't have the power at this weight class to KO anybody there. (Ricky Hatton moved up from jr. ww to fight him, his 2nd time ever moving up to welterweight class.) If they did fight, I don't think people are answering this honestly, or if they are they have never seen Cotto fight, but Cotto has the most consistent and the most powerful jab in the division!

So, what was the argument the boxing public used for why Oscar lost to Floyd? "Why did Oscar stop jabbing?!" Cotto has the power and relentlessness to chop Floyd down! Cotto wins by TKO in 9th round.

If....IF Floyd chicken **** Mayweather fights Cotto. its going to be another Oscar vs Floyd....floyd running away from Cotto al 12 rounds...cotto hits harder than oscar..Floyd would be hurt if he stands toe to toe with cotto,.

Oscar is money same as hatton that's whats its about now not what we the fans want .iIreally hope so THEY do. cotto  is what i like in a boxers can fight on the back foot  stork  the other boxer a mix bag or tricks fast and smart but Floyd would win by around Ive never seen no one like him. not even ray Robinson ?i dint no who win that one Floyd makes good boxers look bad. he does not get credit 4 doing that.PAC man 4 me
