  1. My guess is we will pollute beyond repair.

  2. you will be dead and gone before all the water is polluted .

so keep dumping c**p in it if you want!

  3. i dont think so unless global warming gets really out of control! x*x xxxxxxxx

  4. Maybe you don't know it, but you don't drink water that come straight from wells, rivers, etc. almost everywhere water are purified and treated before you can drink them.

we will have to treat them more, as they become more polluted.

  5. I don't know how we can run out of water.  You cannot destroy water, it's a renewable resource.

  6. We have desalination plants working, there are machines which make water out of thin air and of course we have water treatment plants working full time. We will pollute water but we will still have enough of it left to drink. Maybe we would have to pay more than what we are paying now.

  7. I think you need to re-phrase your question...  Will we run out of water...  no.  Will we run out of clean drinking water...  YES.

As many people here have stated, we will always have water and yes water is constantly being recycled by the evaporation process.  However, rain can still be polluted,  ever hear of acid rain?  It still happens.  And yes the oceans are huge but they are salt and we can't drink that either.

It's true that some places are coming up with ways to desalinize ocean water, and water treatment plants are getting better at cleaning our waste water all the time.  But one major problem remains...  PEOPLE.

1 person NEEDS water everyday to live a healthy life.  That doesn't change, you can't tell people to stop using water.  Well as our population continues to grow the people of earth will continue to NEED more and more water.  Currently our methods of providing drinkable water has no chance of keeping up with how fast our population is growing.  Eventually the problem will get bad enough that we will have to do something about it,  look at what was happening in Georgia.  Take away someone's water and they start to get angry.  It is quite possible some areas of the world will break out in wars over water supplies.  Hopefully we will be able to use our brains to come up with ways to provide clean water worldwide, but that is a LONG shot at this point.

Here is an interesting site that asks the same question

  8. We will never run out of water.  It will always be around, maybe just in different locations.

  9. Yeh sir, you are absolutely. Since hydrogen is a good fuel for vehicles , why water cannot be used as a ' fuel ' in vehicles? Why can't the vehicle break up the water molecule (which consists of 2 hydrogen atom & 1 oxygen atom) and use the hydrogen atom for burning and emit oxygen into the atmosphere ?

  10. before you would even think of completely polluting the worlds water expect to be drowned first when the continents of ice like the North and South pole melts to water.

  11. Nop we will die in a nuclear holocausts caused by Bush and the people who pull his strings :)

Nah seriously we can't run out of water...we can just pollute water.....

You know when you drink then you go to the bathroom and flush? that's water too....who would have thunk it huh?

  12. We will never run out of water. Sure there are lakes drying up from extensive irrigation use, but it's impossible to run out of water. 75% of the earth is covered in water and will always be covered in water. Water is constantly being purified and put back into the system. The water that was in your toilet yesterday will be your drinking water in four days. It's just how it works.

  13. When people say we are running out of water, what they actually mean is that we are running out of sources of clean drinking water. Water has been recycling since the very beginning. Sources of clean drinking water can be created if and when we see the need to. Don't take environmental hysteria too seriously.
