I believe that there is huge potential in electric autos.  The problem

is that the auto makers, including auto engineering, have not made

the effort to develop them.

Certainly, the technology is out there.  For example, has anyone tried to build generator systems within the wheels, so that as you are

driving, you are charging up the main working batteries or alternate

batteries which can be switched over to?  This would help solve

the limited travel distance, and frequent plugin/charge times now

needed.  Or is anyone developing super batteries for autos?

Electric forklifts for example have a large battery, that can generate

the power to lift and move 1000's of pounds all day long.  And that technology is ancient.

It can be done.  Hopefully, we won't wait until we've sucked every drop of oil out of the earth before we seriously develop a workable

electric car.
