I got my last prescription for glasses 2 or 3 years ago and have been wearing them ever since

i just recently has an eye exam and was told to update my prescription.. the problem is I cant afford new glasses for about another month or two

Will I damage my vision if I wait that long to get new glasses?

P.S- I don't have any vision problems or anything like that at the moment, i just need a stronger prescription i guesss..

thanks for the help!

  1. It won't damage your vision, but it may give you headaches.

I used to wear my old glasses b/c I wore contacts 99% of the time, so I didn't see the use in getting new glasses.

Did you ask about them just switching out the lenses and keeping your old glasses frames? that could be a cheaper option for you.

  2. wow I say it your old glasses might not be enough but good enough to hold for the two months or so. just wear your glasses a lot try not to squint or strain your eyes if you can't see go closer or farther if your near sided or far sided

  3. A couple of months will not affect you any more than the 2 years you have already had them. The suggestion above is great and can save you money.
