  1. I think they will have a bit of a slide this year, even with star players and up and coming players like Selwood, Kerr, Lynch, Glass and Pryddis.

I know it takes 22 players to win a game, but without Judd and Cousins I see them struggling a bit. Even though they didn't have Judd and Cousins playing a lot last year, they were still around the club, having them 2 guys in your team would make you all lift.

  2. They will still be a good team, however, if they get a few injuries to ball winners, or key position players they will struggle.

    - Go Hawks

  3. yeah but judd and cousins were their two best players. its not just the skill its also the mentality too, who knows you cant tell until theyve played a few games to predict how they will really fair

  4. Of course they will

They still have players like Kerr, Priddis, Hurn, Embley, Jones.

Finish in the top 8 easily.

  5. Yeah I agree with you. Cousins was out for almost all of the season last year, and Judd has been injured and rarely played at his best near the end of the season. So really they havent had a big impact on the club. They have helped and made it more exciting, but there are still plenty more talented players.

I think Chris Masten, Daniel Kerr, Matt Priddis and Michael Braun will do a good job. Glass is a great defender and they have an ok forwardline.

But, I think they will make it between 4-9th. They can still surprise though. =]

  6. They will get to the top 8 but will be out after the qualifying finals. They will finish lucky 7 on the ladder.

  7. yeah they will go ok, about 5th i reckon

  8. They'll go alright.  They'll call on a lot of pride.  But I don't think they have the material to be premiers.  They need to rebuild after a few terrible years off the field and loss of a heap of good players.

'09 or maybe '10 they'll be a force again but this year will be a mixed bag of floogings and brave victories.  That's what my crystal ball says anyway!

  9. They'll probably finish low in the top 8.

  10. 8th imo, could finish anywhere between 6th to 12th though.  They are still good enough for finals, but they will just be making up numbers if they do make it.

  11. fair to middling, maybe 6th?

They have a lot of talent but they will be watched more closely by the AFL and the narc squad than a worm in a colony of blackbirds! and that sort of attention tends to put you off a bit.

cousins and judd aren't the only reasons for the WCE doing well last year - judd can't do the same thing for carlton, i betcha.

  12. should

  13. I think the Eagles will go alright. i see them making the finals, but in the 4-8 group and i do not see them making the grand final.

You are right, 22 players need to do their part, but you look at Judd and Cousins...both absolute stars and both with the ability to win a game on their own. Judd was injured all year and i think cousins was out for a time? and they did not do as well as with them. True, they still have the likes of Cox and Kerr...but without Judd and Cousins i do not see them a top 4 side

  14. i think that they will go c**p this yr the roosters have got this yr feddie makes a difference on and off the field

    kayz xox

  15. Even when they were mediocre they had such a home ground advantage it ensures a position somewhere in the top eight.

Away games will be the problem especially again good sides.

You cannot replace players of the calibre that they have and expect to be a contender.

    Prediction  6th to 10th.
