Will wildlife/nature photography become more or less popular in the next 5 years or so?

I think the reasons above for why wildlife photo photography will become more popular over the next few years (and beyond) are very accurate.

I also think photography resources on the Internet will contribute significantly as well.  People will be able to set up online "galleries" or photo essays of their time watching the wolves at Yellowstone National Park, the buffalo out on the plains, Migration of geese down Lake Michigan's shores, etc.

A magazine (see link below) has even emerged focusing strictly on this topic!

I think wildlife/nature photography will become more popular.  The price of quality camera equipment is coming down and more people will be making purchases.   Additionally, the Baby Boomers will be "rediscovering" the outdoors.  I myself plan to get a digital camera and start taking photos of the wildlife in my suburban backyard.

More popular, only because they will be less common and people will want to hold onto pictures of how the world once was...
