  1. Palin believes ALL abortion should be illegal....regardless of the circumstances. Palin is opposed to all forms of abortion, including cases of rape, incest, birth defects, or to preserve the mother's health or life. She believes that basic human rights, including the right to life, start at conception (FFL defined as the first formation of a human zygote

  2. I think so.  She seems to have grit, drive, and does not seem to be "establishment."  She seems no-nonsense and got rid of some corrupted folks in her state of Alaska.  Alask-eans, Alas-kaneans, I don't know what they call themselves.... gees!, just love her.

I think that was a good move on fuddie-duddie (spelling??) McCain, to put a more charismatic "unusual" person as his running mate.  If anything, this was the tip of the iceberg that has made me decide on McCain.

  3. I dont agree with everything she says... but so far I do like her.

  4. once they understand she supports the death penalty for women seeking abortions (seeking, really), I think they will get a little nervous.

There isn't a court in the land that will recommend the death penalty for someone who has considered killing someone else.

It's the textbook definition of crazy fundamentalism.

They'll get this after the first hype wears off.

And also I know many alaskans who feel like she's walking away from a job she swore to take seriously.

  5. If I vote for McCain, it want be because of him, it will because of her.

If I dont vote for Obama its because he didnt choose Hillary.

  6. Sure. She will inspire women of all ages as well as millions and millions of baby boomers without question.

  7. I know lots of women, and every one of them carries a v****a. That doesn't mean I would vote for them.

  8. No because they will see her right wing agenda for what it is.  Look who she has been associated with in the past.  And what about the investigation into her using influence to get her ex brother-in-law fired from his job as a cop because he and her sister was going through a nasty divorce?  I think people had better take a real good look at this woman before they vote for her.  And I think the American woman is intelligent enough  to do that.

  9. She is just like my wife and I have been married for over 22 great years.

    1, Trust Worthy

    2, Independent

    3, Smart

    3, Fun

    4, Sincere

    5, Loving

    6, Commen Sense

    and allot more!!

  10. her daughter has a nice rack

  11. Me being a victim of rape could never support a woman who doesn't believe in abortion exceptions. Palin wants a victim to have a baby conceived by rape or incest. No one should vote for someone based on race or gender but rather if they share your values and beliefs.McCain seems to think women are dumb & will vote for Palin just because she's a women. Senator Snowe or Hutchinson would have gotten more independent voters like myself. Once again McCain has flip flopped and to think I actually used to like this guy.

  12. She's also under some investigation with a 12-0 vote to formally investigate her abuse of practices.

Alaska while a gorgeous state, isn't much to be proud of in terms of political standing.  It ranks 47th in our great nation, it has a population of 700,000 thousand, that's really not too big.

It's gorgeous, that's all it can brag about - and the fact that she's completely in the pockets of big oil and wants to drill in ANWAR.

What happened to being a steward of God's great earth?

You'd think that a "conservative" would like to "conserve".

Sarah Palin wants to essentially take rights away from women, teach creationism in schools, ummm sorry, religion and state should be kept separate.

Funny how those that believe in creationism will revert to science to wear glasses to correct the vision that God gave them.  God made you this way, why correct it?  Why are you relying on science to help you?

Yet, when it comes to evolution you knock it?

    Double standard much?

It may seem like a silly comparison, but think about it.

If you TRULY believe in the Bible and how God created you in his image, you're essentially saying to God, "...sorry, gotta get this fixed, you messed up.  Off to science to fix my eyes".

As well there are now rumors the 5th child isn't really hers and that it's her 16 year old daughters.  Ironically enough, during the last 5 months of Palin's "pregnancy" her daughter was off from school with "mono".

A hiker/blogger did a (video) interview with her in what would have put her in her 7th month of pregnancy.

In it you can see she's walking and a real nice comfortable pace, not huffing and puffing.

In her 8th month, she was on a plane, when it's NOT recommended a woman fly when she's pregnant.  She put "her child" at risk, how thoughtful.

If this is true, it may possibly get out, we'll see.

AS well a LOT of her family photos on her site have been taken down the past couple of days already.

    Geee, why?

None of the women in my family like her at all and find it insulting that McCain would pick someone just for the female vote, my Mother basically said what someone above said, "just because she has a v****a, doesn't mean I'm going to pick her".

The world is a lot more complex and the thought of having a 6 term mayor of a small town and 20 month governor be the President is absolutely scary.

    It smells of desperation.

A month ago she asked "what is it exactly that the VP does everyday?"...and McCain in February said of his VP pick "the person who I select would be the person most prepared to take my place"

    Are you JOKING?????????????

  13. Not I

  14. I completely relate to her. She is literally my PERFECT candidate. I am blown away, and am sad I didnt know about her before.

  15. This one does :)

    And it's not BECAUSE she's a woman...I can't stand Hillary

  16. NOPE

  17. It's true that voters want to feel they relate to candidates (or, rather, vice-versa ... that candidates relate to them), thus feeling they're more capable of addressing their needs.

As a woman, Palin may be relateable to more women voters.  However, much like the press viewing Obama as a large, relateable figure for the African American community, it's pretty shallow.

What's disturbing about the average American is that we judge things based on superficial qualities, because for the most part that's what guaranteed quality in the past.  (EG: you'd pick an attractive husband/wife, because it meant they were fit, could take care of themselves, were healthy, etc).  So, it's just our way to pick things based on superficial qualities.

But politics transcends superficial qualities.  Voters should view her track-record (which is pretty freaking impressive in Alaska...pending any muck-racking the Dem's can do to dig up the dirt on her), her stance on issues (pro-life, yet she's pro guns and hunts animals...what a double-standard), her ethics (she was willing to risk her political career to out some unsavory types taking advantage of the system), etc, etc, etc.

There's so much more to her than just being a woman.  Being a man or woman probably (from a logical stand-point) ranks lowest on how it should impact our decisions to vote or not vote for her & McCain.  And yet, because we're hard-wired to be superficial by nature, we make it one of the priorities.

As for being relateable to women, well, she seems to have achieved the "super mom" status... she's a full-time politician, full-time mom (5 kids), she stays in good shape, takes care of her appearance, takes care of her brains (IE: she's very educated and not just another pretty face), takes care of her experience (IE: she's also been in politics for a while and knows how to play hard ball when needed, especially when faced with jerk politicians), she hunts (with guns, which can be seen as a form of female empowerment), and yet she cares about the people she serves so much so that she helps balance their budget and has an astounding approval rating at what she does.

Just from what little folks know now, she would definitely be a female role-model, not just for current women, but future generations.  She may be too good, in fact, perhaps causing spite and envy from other women who try to "do it all", but fall short when compared to her.

So, yes, superficially, I'd say she's relatable to women voters.  But from a broader, more logical stand-point, her track record makes her relatable to all citizens.  In fact, she seems to be a better Presidential candidate than both McCain & Obama.  It's a shame she's just getting in as a VP.  However, perhaps this is better than how Hillary was trying to do it.  Hillary was trying to silver spoon / pedigree her way into office, where-as Palin lets her track-record make her a good VP pick, and if her & McCain get elected and do well, we could very well see her running in the 2012 or 2016 presidential elections.
