Question:

Will women actually cross party lines to vote because of an inexperienced VP who's nothing like HRC?

I doubt McCain's gamble will work. He basically handed the election to Obama tonight. A woman with only 2 years governor experience? please. Even Romney would have been better, at least he helps out in economics.

  1. i highly doubt it.

  2.   you're absolutely right. he picked out of desperation.

  3. Years spent as City Council, Mayor, Governor

                                     Vs.

Obama's 143 Days of Senate Experience

    Use some common sense.

  4. of course it will work you have a bunch of idiots following obama like a lost puppy and all he has told them that its going to CHANGE!!! What? its a secret, Palin is a babe, i will definetly vote for her and if mcain kicks the bucket, ppppoooooorrrr hillary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. So you think he gave the presidency to Obama huh? You would rather vote for a president that has 3 yrs senate history instead? I fail to see where your inexperienced VP portion plays here. At least McCain has more experience then Obama out of the two PRESIDENTIAL candidates.

I think it was a bold move to show he is willing to break certain molds by bringing a new young face with fresh ideas for change (hint hint.. Obama's message). Basically you are running for president, it's all or nothing.

McCain still has my vote over Obama.

  6. If people can look beyond party lines, they'll see that she is a conservative - but she is much more in line with Clinton than the Dems would like you to believe.

Rather than dismiss this, I urge those who don't agree to do a quick Google search of Palin's name and read what comes up.

  7. I smell democrat desperation.

  8. No, bottom line is this, he wants to drill in alaska (which she is gov. of), she is in favor of removing polar bears off the endangered species list just so they cab drill there. On top of this she is being investigated for corruption. I say that pepaw needs to sit in a rocking chair on one of his many houses and chew on some werther's originals, take the pill popping stepford wife with him, and let change happen.

  9. No way No how No McCain!

Not working on this woman....saw right through it!

  10. If Palin WAS like HRC, I wouldn't vote for her. But she is a STRONG conservative woman who has done some amazing things for Alaska in her 2 years. The leadership and executive office management skills she has demonstrated are quite impressive. And just being a governor automatically makes her more qualified than Obama... who is not running against her, I might remind you. Regardless of the outcome, this was a bold, gutsy move and will make the McCain ticket much stronger for many reasons.

AND PS, I did like Romney, but this move was brilliant.

  11. Exactly.

  12. McCain cant even question Obama's inexperience anymore, now that he chose that bimbo for VP.

Obama has been president since day one. McCain's just waiting to embarass himself. Romney or Lieberman would've been a good choice.

  13. People SHOULD base their vote on policy, not gender and race.

I happen to like what Sarah Palin has done and what she says.

Palin is bringing conservatives and Independents together because of her POLICIES!

I listened to Rush Limbaugh today to see what would be said and it was VERY POSITIVE!  This means most conservatives love her too!

  14. That choice is what will cost him this election.

  15. I wouldn't want it to be the only reason. Just like I don't think it says much about America when such a high number of African Americans vote for Obama primarily because he's black. She shares my beliefs, she has executive experience, she's a mother, she's from outside the beltway and she brings a perspective of a woman who balances work and family, to the executive office.

It's exciting to see such an exciting contrast in background between McCain and Palin and to know that on an individual basis, they both bring something new to the party. I love that they are reformers who come from different worlds, but the same political party.

  16. I agree. Very few women will vote McCain solely because of Palin. I don't think the VP choices are going to change anything.

Romney would've drawn in more Independents, Palin won't. Bad choice by McCain.

  17. inexperienced like Obama...

  18. only those who are willing to cut off their nose to spite their face.

As a woman I cannot see how she can stand there and support a man who:

Jokes about a woman being raped by an ape ( below is the actual newpaper article which was scanned)

    http://www.rumromanismrebellion.net/imag...

    Joke about beating his wife

    http://www.lasvegassun.com/blogs/ralston...

thinks women do not deserve to get equal pay for equal work

voted against the violence against women act ( this kind of explains why he can joke about beating his wife)

    Voted against MLK day

Voted to gut the Family Medical leave act which really helps women when they have to take time off from a job to take care of ill children and relatives and still be able to keep their job.

has somewhat questionable judgment considering his VP is currently under investigation by her own legislature for abuse of power of which the findings are to be released in October

  19. IF and ONLY if people remember she's a republican and DON'T just look at her as a woman

  20. The answer is yes. I have seen democrates post that they will vote for McCain today. But the issue is is that he lost my vote today. No Romney, no vote.

    Barr 2008

  21. You are supporting Obama and denigrating Palin for her "inexperience?"

Match them up.  She is better qualified to be president than Obama is!

  22. hahhaha

The comment "I hope people remember she's a Republican and not just a women" is the funniest thing I've heard.

Why is Barak getting the largest support from African Americans in hostory? Simply because he is a Democrat?

  23. We already crossed party lines, this is just a big goodbye FU to the Democratic party!!!!

  24. Apparently there are those willing to vote for Obama...a man with virtually zero experience....you do the math.

  25. for those of u who are saving obama has zero experience what about the female he just chose for a v.p, she has no experience so pick something else too say, mccain dies  she in,  america will not by it  your right  obama wins in  november just what this country needs  a new face, a new  idea  and change  change, is what we need the republicans are stuck in their old ways

  26. It's so funny to see all of the obots scared out of their minds today!  In a word, yes, women will cross over to vote for McCain.  Many were going to do so anyway...now that McCain has demonstrated that he's not sexist, it will just sweeten the pot.

  27. It was an irresponsible choice. A man with her credentials would NEVER have been chosen. Ever.

THIS is the kind of leadership McCain chooses to help get us out of the mess we're in? Someone with 18 months of "executive" experience? In a state with a population and budget smaller than most major cities???

    WTF?

The only thing she brings to the table is a set of ovaries.

FYI: Obama has 12 years in the Illinois Senate and U.S. Senate, not to mention his work as a hands-on community organizer and as a full-time attorney fighting for voting rights, employment and housing cases. Plus the fact that he taught law for twelve years.

  28. She has more experience than Obama and it is executive experience and she is running for Vice President..

  29. It might work, and I hope it will. BUT the funny thing is you Obamites are talking about McCain and NOT Obama or his speech  or the DNC. That says lot about how smart the McCain camp is being. Obamas VP announcement was a mess in comparison. And, hey, atleast the person on the Rep ticket with little experience is on the bottom of the ticket NOT the top...

  30. There is no reason to vote for HRC, the dems dumped her like yesterday's newspaper.  McCAin doesn't sound like "same old same old" anymore.  He 's is taking our government out of the Old Boys Club.  Pbama and Biden will have to smoke there cigars somewhere else.

  31. Check her bio. Sarah Palin rocks!
