Will wood trap smoke smell?

I am having a house built and teenagers lit off a firecracker in the house. The house smells like smoke, there is no drywall up yet and I am afraid the wood beams will trap the smoke smell and this will become a problem later. The builder want to put kill primer on the wood, is this affective?

  1. This won't become a problem. Now or later.

There is also no need to prime the wood for the smell from "a firecracker".

Open the windows and get on with your life.

I sure feel sorry for your builder.^

  2. yes wood can trap smoke smell.the primer should be affective
