I'm 17 at the moment and I've been receiving SS payments for my fathers death for a few years now. I've just gotten my first job and I was wondering if I will still receive payments or if it'll be less.

Also my mom stop receiving checks a year ago so if she's been working since then, will that affect how much I receive?

  1. A friend of mine gets SS payments from their fathers death, and they are to continue until she is 18 no matter what.

  2. you will be receiving them until you turn 18. just because you work, it won't make a difference.
